About
Why RunMatrix exists
Most strength programs are bodybuilding programs wearing running shoes. Runners following them get sore, heavy legs — and still get the same injuries.
RunMatrix builds strength weeks from principles that are boringly consistent in sports-science research on runners: progressive tendon loading, single-leg specificity, hip and core control, and keeping hard efforts away from each other (the "interference effect"). Every exercise in the library states why it's there, in plain language, so you never train on faith. The main claims are cited in the research section on the home page.
To be straight with you: this wasn't designed by a famous coach. It was built from one runner's problem — balancing running, strength training and recurring joint pain — then structured around established strength-and-conditioning principles from the published research linked on this site.
The plans are generated by transparent rules, not by a black-box AI, and the same inputs always produce the same plan. It is general fitness guidance — for diagnosis and treatment of an injury, see a professional.
RunMatrix is built by the maker of RehabCalcs and ACL Week Plan. Questions or feedback: kso51262613@gmail.com.
